This Stage 2 cold air intake system produces 14 max horsepower, 18 lbs. x ft. torque and out-flowed the factory intake by 29% on the BMW 335i (F30) N55. This system includes a durable 18-gauge, powder-coated heat shield and features a washable/reusable conical Pro 5R air filter for maximum flow. This air filter is constructed with 100% polyurethane, for long life and multiple cleaning cycles. A huge 3.5 inch one-piece mandrel bent wrinkle-black powder-coated intake tube, maximizes air velocity providing maximum performance and throttle response. This is a direct bolt-on kit and requires no cutting or drilling. The air filter uses a unique (patent-pending) flange retention design that requires no hardware to mount the filter to the heat shield to provide a quick hassle-free installation with minimal hardware. A large mandrel-bent intake tube is used to smoothly direct the increased air flow into the engine for maximum performance. This intake utilizes a huge, 6" conical Pro 5R Filter. The Pro 5R performance air filter features 5-layers of progressively finer mesh cotton gauze media and is constructed with 100% polyurethane for long life and multiple cleaning cycles. The air filter is housed in a one-piece, black powder-coated 18-gauge heat shield that keeps warm engine air out for maximum performance. This one-piece heat shield uses factory mounting locations and comes with all hardware for a hassle-free installation. aFe has developed this intake to provide a hassle-free installation that utilizes all factory mounting locations. The intake tube is designed to maximize air velocity and is dyno tested and flowed using the latest engineering tools for maximum performance, mileage and throttle response.
