This guitar features a solid Sitka spruce top paired with layered walnut back and sides, combining to produce a surprisingly full and resonant voice that defies its modest size.
The Taylor BBT Big Baby's Sitka spruce top plays a key role in its sound- Known for its exceptional tonal clarity and dynamic range, Sitka spruce sets the stage for a versatile and dynamic acoustic guitar. The layered walnut back and sides not only contribute to the guitar's aesthetic appeal but also enhance the overall tonal warmth, making for a well-balanced sound that suits a variety of playing styles.
The neck of the BBT is constructed from Hard Rock Maple, a choice renowned for its stability and durability. This ensures optimal playability and a neck that stands the test of time, delivering a consistently comfortable feel. The ebony fingerboard, adorned with Italian Acrylic Dot inlays, aids in easy navigation across the frets.
Designed with the player in mind, the Big Baby body shape strikes a balance between comfort and projection, a feature that Taylor has mastered.
