The underlying theme behind the BH1 design takes inspiration from the Underground Railroad.The Underground Railroad was a network of secret routes and safe houses established in the United States during the early to mid-19th century. Each colorway of the BH1 is inspired by a person, place, event or something closely related to Black American Descendants of US Chattel Slavery.

 Our first colorway of the BH1, the Malcolm colorway, is inspired by the cover art for The Autobiography of Malcolm X as Told to Alex Haley.

Designed by Lunar Park founder, TV Bobby, the Black History One is a comfortable, durable and stylish sneaker designed to celebrate the strength, creativity, will and history of Black American Descendants of United States' Chattel Slavery.

The BH1, though unintentional, has more specific details than any other mass produced themed original sneaker design currently on the market. With 27 special elements that breakdown to over 30 details all dedicated to Black Americans (Black American Freedmen, Indigenous Black Americans, Black Descendants of US Chattel Slavery & Gullah Geechi) can be found on this sneaker.

I'm initially impressed with this valet tray. I purchased two for my husband: one for his nightstand and one for his dresser, as he likes to keep things organized. We liked the idea of the wireless charging capabilities, but were a little disappointed to discover that the power adapter (wall plug) is not included with the tray. The tray includes a charging pad and a cord, but no wall plug. We don't have an extra pair in the house, so we'll have to wait until a pack arrives before we can test out the charging capabilities. That aside, the trays are a handsome set. I think 20% larger might serve us a tad better, but this will do very nicely for now. We're able to fit almost everything we need in the tray and that will leave the tables looking much tidier, even if one or two items don't quite make it in.
