The Vent-Axia 473827 Lo-Carbon Centra HT DC is a high-performance decentralised Mechanical Extract Ventilation (dMEV) centrifugal fan designed for continuous residential ventilation in bathrooms, kitchens, utility rooms and toilets.

Featuring an integrated humidistat and timer, this energy-efficient 100mm fan automatically responds to increased moisture levels to help control condensation and improve indoor air quality. Its near-silent operation and discreet styling make it ideal for modern homes and social housing applications.

What is dMEV?

Decentralised Mechanical Extract Ventilation (dMEV) provides continuous low-level extraction directly from wet rooms such as bathrooms and kitchens. Unlike centralised systems, individual fans operate independently to deliver effective whole-house ventilation in accordance with Building Regulations Approved Document F.

The Lo-Carbon Centra continuously extracts stale and moisture-laden air at low noise levels, helping to reduce condensation and improve indoor air quality throughout the property.

Intelligent Humidity Control

The integrated humidistat automatically increases extraction speed when excess humidity is detected, helping to control condensation and reduce the risk of mould growth. The built-in timer function ensures continued ventilation after use for improved moisture removal.

The Lo-Carbon Centra range has been designed for near-silent operation while maintaining excellent airflow performance. With a specific fan power as low as 0.18 W/l/s in through-the-wall kitchen applications, the unit delivers highly efficient continuous ventilation with low running costs.
