Description:
Amartya Sen is one of the world™s best-known voices for the poor, the destitute and the downtrodden and an inspiration for policy makers and activists across the globe. He has also contributed almost without peer to the study of economics, philosophy and politics, transforming social choice theory, development economics, ethics, political philosophy and Indian political economy, to list but a few.
This book offers a much-needed introduction to Amartya Sen™s extraordinary variety of ideas. Lawrence Hamilton provides an excellent, accessible guide to the full range of Sen™s writings, contextualizing his ideas and summarizing the associated debates. In elegant prose, Hamilton reconstructs Sen™s critiques of the major philosophies of his time, assesses his now famous concern for capabilities as an alternative for thinking about poverty, inequality, gender discrimination, development, democracy and justice, and unearths some overlooked gems. Throughout, these major theoretical and philosophical achievements are subjected to rigorous scrutiny.
Amartya Sen is a major work on one of the most influential economists and philosophers of the last couple of centuries. It will be invaluable to students and scholars across the humanities and social sciences and an excellent guide for policy makers, legislators and global activists.

Satisfied with color and fit
Size: Small, Color: Light Purple
For the money, this is a good shirt. True, the material is a bit thin and there is a feeling of 'fragility' (loose threads here and there) but the color is nice, the texture is appropriate.
The sizing is what I call "New American". I was a medium my whole life but supersizing has made me into a small. I haven't changed, Americans have grown bigger.
I am six feet tall and a bit (180+ cm) and weigh 155 pounds (70kg and a bit).
The small fits me just fine everywhere but the shoulders are just barely wide enough.
If you have slightly wider shoulders but are similar to me otherwise, this may be too tight for you in that one place.

Fits too tight at waist.
Size: XX-Large, Color: Wine
Quality of product satisfactory, however size labeling incorrect. I ordered a XXL that is too tight at the waist. It should be labeled XXL Trim.

A Classy coat
Size: Medium, Color: Black
For the price I paid, this is a great find. The quality of the fabric was good, and the waist was good. We tried washing it for the safer side, and the color didn't turn out well, but it looks great. If you prefer using the tie, it looks very good, and the bow tie was easy to adjust. I ordered another suit, but for the price I paid, this is really good.
With the fitting, the adjustments could be made, and the extra cloth was provided accordingly, which is a good thing. Coming to the waistcoat, I would say it fits properly if you are going with the actual size, as sometimes it varies. Also, refer to the size guide. With the washability, I used hand washing and just dipped it in water to see the color. It was really good and the color sustained well. The tie was not provided, but you do get the bow tie, and it was neatly packed. With pants, the size may vary, and if you have any other pants that could match this color, you can use them. The package was very neat and easy to open. No complaints on the package, as sometimes it will be more to open it. This is for our very special occasion and so glad that it was great.
