Porcellio laevis
The White variation of Porcellio laevis is a stunning, all white isopod morph that stands out for its clean, ghostly appearance and smooth, glossy texture. Their bright, uniform coloration makes them highly popular among collectors and bioactive enthusiasts looking for a visually striking addition to their enclosures. Larger and more visible than many other isopods, White P. laevis are calm, easy to handle, and excellent breeders. Their bold presence and active foraging behavior make them both a beautiful display species and a dependable clean-up crew in warm, humid setups.
These invertebrates serve several important functions in any vivarium acting as tank janitors to help break down dead plant matter and uneaten foods. They also provide the vivarium inhabitants with an extra in-house snack and aid in nutrient cycling.
Each culture has approximately 15-20 mixed size isopods included, with food, and are considered a large sized isopod.
