Informatie wijnhuis

Kopke Port is in 1638 opgericht door Cristiano Kopke.
Doordat Kopke het oudste wijnbedrijf van Portugal is, heeft het internationaal een grote reputatie.
Nadat in 1882 er een verschrikkelijk brand het pand verwoeste is niet alles bekend over het verleden van dit roemruchte wijnhuis.
Sinds 1953 heeft de huidige directie er alles aan gedaan om de naam van Kopke hoog te houden.
Daarbij worden de Ports over heel de wereld aan de man gebracht. Zoals de traditie voorschrijft liggen de kelders van Kokpe in Entreposto de Gaia.
Daarin liggen de Ports de rijpen onder beste omstandigheden op houten vaten.

Kopke Vintage Port 2017 van QUINTA SÃO LUIZ

De Quinta São Luiz van Kopke ligt op de linkeroever van Douro.
In het midden tussen Regua en Pinhão Het domein kan gerekende worden tot één van de mooiste Porthuizen in de regio.
Doordat er veel mensen de reeks aan Colheita Ports en Vintage Ports kennen heeft het wijnhuis ook in Nederland een grote reputatie
