Rookkwarts is een soort kwarts dat zijn zwarte en/of rokerige kleur krijgt door natuurlijke straling. De kleur van rookkwarts is gevoelig voor hitte en zal verbleken bij temperaturen boven de 200-300°C of bij langdurige blootstelling aan UV-licht. Dit kleurverlies kan worden teruggedraaid door gammastraling van de kristallen.

Rookkwarts kan in veel verschillende omgevingen worden aangetroffen, maar is het meest kenmerkend voor holtes in stollingsgesteenten en pegmatieten. De kwartskorrels in graniet en aanverwante rotsen zijn vaak rokerig.

The treat ball is a nice bonus too. I've put treats and his dog kibble in there throughout the day, and it helps keep him engaged and also mentally tires him out. Everything is sized well for a small puppy and light enough for him to carry around easily. The materials feel decent for the price, especially considering how many toys you get. That said, I do keep an eye on him with the softer ones since he’s still a puppy and likes to chew.
