Wow! I love that this book was written by a licensed professional counselor! I love that I’m familiar with this author’s other books which I own and have read. I also love the emotion “Peaceful” because when you look at the illustrations of the water and floating on a tube while your hand is resting in the water and you are gently kicking your feet, that looks and feels peaceful and I know my child can relate to that. This is a very easy to understand book. I loved that each emotion was on two pages and you didn’t need to turn the page, it was all there for you to process and read. The entire explanation of the emotion was a simple way for my child to grasp the concept and give simple choices on how to deal with the emotion. For me including God in the equation was awesome and important and that was also simple and easy to understand.
