"Evolution" is the upcoming 12th album by Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame legend Sheryl Crow, featuring nine new songs produced by Mike Elizondo (Dr. Dre, Maroon 5, Keith Urban, Gary Clark Jr).
Crow publicly stated that she would not release another full length album after "Threads" (2018), so "Evolution" comes as a welcome surprise. Initially, Crow sent just one song to Mike, but that soon turned into four songs, pointing towards an EP. However, songs kept flowing out of her, and the only logical result was a complete studio album.
The nine songs were all formed from a place deep within her soul, songs that pushed themselves through without any specifically orchestrated end goal. This makes "Evolution" an album that presents Sheryl Crow at her most authentically human self.
