- Deze Ficus gedijt het beste in helder, indirect licht. Hij kan ook enige directe zonneschijn verdragen, maar langdurige blootstelling aan direct zonlicht kan de bladeren beschadigen. De Ficus Elastica is ideaal voor binnenruimtes, maar kan ook buiten worden geplaatst in een warme en beschutte omgeving.
- De Ficus Elastica heeft een gemiddelde waterbehoefte. Laat de bovenste laag van de potgrond uitdrogen voordat je opnieuw water geeft. Het is belangrijk om goede drainage te bieden om wortelrot te voorkomen, vooral in de winter wanneer de plant minder water nodig heeft.
