The typical "green" overdrive features a combination of filters at different stages to give its characteristic sound. These have all been carefully adjusted to get a little more out of the circuit, accentuating the new Mids control and the overhauled Tone knob. The Sidearm's "hump frequency" sits at 1KHz, but the mids control sits at the typical "green" frequency of 720Hz, letting you boost or cut this band at will for a more customizable tone. The Tone control boosts lows and cuts highs when turned down, and has the opposite effect when cranked. This control sits centered at 1KHz, the same as the hump, letting you fine-tune the entire frequency response and giving you back some lost treble, or thickening up the tone if you're plugged into your amp's bright channel. Controls "¢ Volume: Affirmative! "¢ Mids: Control centered at 720Hz which is the "mid hump" frequency of the original Tube Screamer. Turning this up boosts the 720Hz band and turning it down scoops out the same band. "¢ Tone: Tilt EQ centered at 1KHz. Above noon, frequencies above 1KHz are boosted and frequencies below are cut. Mom says they have been working so far for that bloated feeling
As of late she's been getting more discomfort and these have been helping her with indigestion. They seem to be working as intended but of course she will continue to use them for a longer period so that hopefully those symptoms she was having reside. She likes that it overall helps support metabolism and balances the gut. The natural ingredients are a plus. Doesn't have to worry about any GMO's and additives. After the bottle runs out I'll probably buy another for her since they seem to help her upset stomach.

Video lectures, just as the subtitle promises
I was seduced into buying this set on the basis of NT Wright's reputation and advertising graphics showing Holy Land locations. Consequently, I didn't pay sufficient attention to the subtitle: "The New Testament in Its World: Video Lectures." And "lectures" is exactly what this set delivers. Talking heads, lecturing on the New Testament; sometimes in a studio, sometimes in eastern Mediterranean locations.
The content is solid evangelical biblical scholarship. My disappointment is the almost complete lack of engagement with the spectacular settings much of these films are shot in. It seems to me that Wright and his producers missed a real opportunity by failing more explicitly to relate their lecture content to the places where they're standing.
I give this set a three-star rating. The lectures are a perfectly fine introduction to the New Testament, if that's what you're looking for -- but you could put them on CDs or MP3s and listen in the car. The graphics add very little to these presentations.
