This framed red paper rose makes a really special personalised wedding or paper wedding anniversary gift, a new home gift or a birthday gift for any lover of books and flowers! It also makes a lovely present for a birth or christening (it is particularly popular for newly born babies called Rose and Rosa).
The red rose anniversary gift is inspired by the Victorians' love of paper flowers (they used to fill their houses with them when there was no longer any in their gardens), the red paper rose in this work is carefully hand tied from little paper hearts.
The papers we use are mainly cut from unwanted vintage books of romantic poetry and music but it is possible to have the rose made up in a special book or poem of your choice on request. The papers have been painted in a range of rich reds to make this rose a lovely deep red colour.
In this piece, the paper rose is mounted on antique white paper which is surrounded by a pale cream mount.
To personalise this work we can print your words, such as names and dates of a special event within the petals of this rose (see the detail images). We offer three personalised petals which we then tuck in amongst the others so that they are not immediately obvious but a subtle little message to the receiver of this gift!
To personalise further, we can include a quotation or dedication of your choice underneath the artwork. Your text needs to be no more than 65 characters including spaces e.g. 'Philip & Rebecca married 24th October 2017' or 'O my Luve's like a red, red rose that’s newly sprung in June'.
Please be aware that we have had to change our frames so please check the images. They are a lovely contemporary acrylic box frame in keeping with the frame in the product images but very slightly larger. The frame measures 27.5 cm square and 3.5 cm deep. It is glazed with 2mm perspex for your safety and the protection of the paper. The frame is sent to you in a box for easy gift wrapping.
