HiBy R6 2020 is the latest revamped version of the highly acclaimed R6 Android Digital Audio Player from the brand. It offers not only improvements in the looks and aesthetics of the R6 but also features a revamped audio circuit to deliver an extraordinary sound output with rich clarity and detailing.

Equipped with dual ES9038Q2M DAC chips, dual independent crystal oscillators(45.1584MHz, 49.152MHz), OPA1612 with premium Panasonic capacitors, the HiBy R6 2020 delivers an outstanding sound experience for its users. It produces detailed, noise-free sound output with rich clarity.

Full MQA Unfolding:-

The HiBy R6 2020 supports full 16X MQA files unfolding, delivering the best sound decoding capabilities to the device. Apart from full MQA unfolding, it supports PCM decoding up to 32Bit/768kHz and DSD512 natively.

Fluid & Super-Fast User Interface:-

The HiBy R6 2020 is equipped with blazing-fast Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 SoC. It is paired with 4GB of ram, providing a super-fast user interface without any lag. The device is loaded with an open Android 9 OS and supports all Android applications.

Dual-Way Bluetooth Connectivity:-

The HiBy R6 2020 features two-way Bluetooth V5.0 connectivity with hi-res codec support including UAT, LDAC, AptX HD, and more. The UAT is HiBy’s self-developed latest Hi-res Bluetooth codec that supports file streaming up to 192kHz bitrate.

Systemwide DTA(Direct Transport Architecture) & MSEB Tuner:-

The HiBy R6 2020 features HiBy’s self-developed Direct Transport Architecture(DTA). It is a custom Android architecture that supports bit-perfect sound decoding on non-resampling output from all apps. It transfers the audio signal from the USB signal receiver chip directly to the DAC chip for decoding by-passing Android audio schematics. It also features HiBy’s self-developed MSEB(MageSound Eight-Ball) tuner that allows easy sound output tuning(Please note MSEB doesn’t affect MQA output as MQA doesn’t allow sound tuning).

Audiophile-Grade Power Supply:-

The line and amplification stages are driven by two independent isolated power supplies. It results in cleaner and more powerful dynamics in the sound output.

Good cold brew maker with a few quirks

Overall, I really enjoyed this Slim cold brew coffee maker. The only complain I have about is if you try to pour it too quickly, the fluid will spill out of the tip. Also, I don’t like how the locking mechanism works for the lid. If you twist it on and you start in the wrong position the spout will end up backwards. The filter is nice and does not allow any coffee grounds to escape. I also like how it’s thin and can fit in the door of my fridge.

Minimal design, practical use

This looks exactly like what is on the picture. It's not super thin plastic in that I accidentally have bumped it against both the fridge and my kitchen counter and I haven't seen any cracks - it's got some thickness/bounce to it. The seal is a twist on (which is not clear or on the instructions), which I think will help with any chance of leaking. The infuser goes the entire length of the container which is really nice because then things stay submerged, rather than some infusers where your fruit or tea only sits at the top of the container. It's pretty sleek, but that does mean this is really tall. It's kind of tricky to fit in most fridges unless you put it in your door handle. I know the picture shows this being laid down on its side, but while I haven't noticed any leaks, I still wouldn't be comfortable storing it like that especially since the top is just kind of a button you click if you want to pour. Overall, I think this is surprisingly solid. It has more functionality than a plain basic pitcher, the seal seems snug, and it has a relatively nice, minimalistic design. Only downsides are that you cannot use it for anything warm, and I expect the rubber seal is going to weaken over time as you twist it on and off. Additionally, you will need to clean this, so it remains to be seen if it picks up any residual smells/tastes as most plastic is going to do.
