The Victron 40A Single Phase AC Current Sensor provides a reliable, non-invasive method for measuring AC current in your Victron Energy installation. By connecting to the AUX or temperature sense input, the sensor eliminates the need for complex external metering hardware. It empowers system owners to visualise solar yield directly on a GX device and via the VRM Portal, ensuring complete oversight of energy flows without additional communication modules.
Engineered for Accuracy and Long-Term Reliability
At the core of the sensor is a precision toroidal current transformer, which clamps around a single AC conductor for isolated, safe measurement up to 40 A. The fully potted enclosure (IP54) protects internal electronics from moisture, dust, and vibration, making it suitable for installation in equipment rooms, marine environments, and outdoor enclosures where conditions can be demanding.
Onboard DIP switches allow straightforward configuration of the power range (1.5 kW to 7 kW at 230 V AC), matching the sensor to the expected PV inverter output.
