Product Details

Soft Light Filtering for Everyday Comfort

These curtains gently filter sunlight instead of fully blocking it, helping reduce harsh glare while keeping the room bright and comfortable. They are a practical choice for spaces where you want natural light during the day without leaving your windows completely exposed.

Cozy Jacquard Plaid Texture

The plaid pattern is woven into the fabric using a jacquard technique rather than simply printed on the surface. This gives the curtains a more dimensional, textured look that feels warm, casual, and well-suited for farmhouse, cottage, rustic, and relaxed modern interiors.

Olive Green Farmhouse Style

The olive green tone adds a grounded, natural accent to your room without feeling too bold. It pairs beautifully with wood furniture, cream walls, neutral bedding, woven rugs, and other soft home textures.

2-Panel Set

Each package includes 2 curtain panels, giving your window a balanced, finished look. Use them together on one window for fuller coverage, or style them across a wider window depending on your curtain rod and desired gather.

Back Tab Top Design

The back tab header creates soft, clean folds when hung on a curtain rod. It gives the panels a tailored look while keeping the hardware visually understated—ideal for bedrooms, dining rooms, living rooms, kids’ rooms, and farmhouse-inspired spaces.

Why You’ll Like Them

More Privacy Without Making the Room Dark

For ground-floor apartments, street-facing windows, or rooms near neighbors, these light filtering curtains help soften outside visibility while still allowing daylight to enter. They are a good fit when blackout curtains feel too heavy but bare windows do not feel private enough.

Gentler Light for Bedrooms and Kids’ Rooms

The fabric helps reduce strong sunlight and glare, making bedrooms and children’s rooms feel calmer during the day. They are especially useful for creating a softer environment for reading, playing, relaxing, or winding down before bedtime.

A Relaxed Look That Works in Multiple Rooms

The casual plaid design feels welcoming without being fussy. Use these curtains in a dining room to add texture, in a living room to frame the windows, or in a bedroom to bring in a warmer, cozier layer.

Textured Faux Linen Feel

The thick faux linen fabric gives the panels a substantial hand feel and natural-looking drape. The woven texture helps the curtains look more refined than flat printed panels while staying easy to coordinate with everyday decor.

Good to Know Before You Buy

These are light filtering curtains, not blackout curtains. They are designed to soften sunlight, add privacy, and bring texture to your windows while still allowing a comfortable amount of natural light into the room.

If you are a night shift worker who needs deep daytime darkness, consider pairing these panels with blackout liners or choosing a NICETOWN blackout curtain option. If your goal is soft light, cozy texture, and a more private window, this plaid jacquard set is a beautiful everyday choice.

Gem from a brilliant thinker.
Format: Paperback
This book will forever redefine feminism for its readers. There are two threads: one political, the other literary commentary. Fortunately, Witting pulls the former into the latter. The astute and radical political critique in Wittig's book is uniquely powerful. Wittig addresses the question of how a movement is comprised of both group energy and individual experience. The theory, legacy, and limits of Marx and Engels are discussed. Then, drawing on de Beauvoir and other iconoclasts, Wittig addresses our dominator culture in a way that goes directly to its core. Wittig deals efficiently yet persuasively with the argument over whether nature or culture is responsible for inequality, declaring that "there is no sex." This statement becomes the book's alpha and omega, and the lens through which Wittig shows us history, literature, and the future of activism. Like whiteness, maleness is a social category that can be renounced. Man (Homo) once meant everybody in the human community -- it was indeed generic, in the unifying sense. Unfortunately, the word has so frequently been used to describe a socially constructed group that expels half of itself in order to oppress it, "man" is now identified with those identified as male. In the essay "The Category of Sex" Wittig writes: "The perenniality of the sexes and the perenniality of slaves and masters proceed from the same belief, and, as there are no slaves without masters, there are no women without men. The ideology of sexual difference functions as censorship in our culture by masking, on the grounds of nature, the social opposition between man and women. Masculine/feminine, male/female are the categories which serve to conceal the fact that social differences always belong to an economic, political, ideological order. ...The masters explain and justify the established divisions as a result of natural differences." I understand that Wittig has recently passed away. If only I had discovered this book a little earlier, so that I could have met the author. That feeling, I suppose, is the sign of a truly good read. "A text by a minority author is only successful if it succeeds in making the minority point of view unviersal" writes Wittig --and to read this book from beginning to end is to find that the author has done just that.

Partly still thought-provoking, partly dated
Format: Paperback
Dr. Wittig had so much anger, and had such a fight to fight. She seems excessive at times, or as though she is painting with such a broad brush, but writing such as this did win some important battles. No, things are not as dark as her wrath would suggest, or at least not anymore.
