FLORA’s simple design accentuates her contents, and is guaranteed to appeal to the keen botanist.
The name FLORA refers to the goddess of the same name, who in Roman mythology was the goddess of all plants, flowers, and fertility. Today, the name is often used to denote plant life in general or in connection with the famous comprehensive 18th-century Danish encyclopedia of botany – the Flora Danica.
