This formula is especially helpful for those with genetic weaknesses in A01C (Diamine Oxidase), the main enzyme responsible for the degradation of ingested histamine.*The active ingredient in G.I. Hist Support is porcine-derived diamine oxidase, and research suggests that DAO derived from porcine kidney appears to have identical action to DAO derived from porcine intestine.*
Each ingredient is clinically tested to assist with histamine degradation and the oxidative stress created by histamines.*
Stinging Nettles: Studies have shown stinging nettles, through clinical results, has demonstrated both promising mechanisms for supporting nasal passageway health. While further study is needed, trials have shown stinging nettles showed measurable differences vs. placebo after only one week.
Bromelain: A pineapple enzyme, bromelain has proven mucolytic properties. As such, bromelain supports normal mucousal tissue function and enhances the absorption of quercetin.
N-Acetyl L-Cysteine (NAC): An amino acid that is a natural mucolytic, NAC reduces the viscosity of mucus. Studies have shown individuals have been treated effectively without side effects when given NAC which is used in many nutritional supplements.
