Prunus avium 'White Heart' is a very old cherry, but hard to come by these days. We're not sure why; its heart-shaped pale fruit have good flavour and it makes a vigorous, healthy tree with good canker resistance. Late fruiting. Self-fertile. Like all cherry trees, its pretty (white) blossom in spring attracts a range of pollinators including bees.

We sell White Heart cherry trees as one - two year old maidens, on Colt rootstock to produce a tree around 4m tall.

Please note that we also sell several varieties of edible wild cherry, or "mazzard", and recommend our fruit tree planting kits for all new fruit trees.

We supply all our fruit trees as bare root, so they are only available between November and April. During lifting season, there will be a delay between placing the order and dispatching due to pressure of orders, which are dealt with in date sequence, and the weather. Orders taken from June-October will be confirmed in late October/ early November after a nursery stock take, for dispatch from November.
