RadioMaster Nexus-X: The Control System Your Skill Level Doesn't Deserve

Welcome to the pinnacle of "I definitely need this to be better at FPV." The Nexus-X is RadioMaster’s latest love letter to RF 2.2 enthusiasts who demand precision, performance, and a CNC-machined aluminum case that probably costs more than some people's entire builds. It’s shiny, it’s fast, and yes, it will still crash if you fly like an absolute muppet. But at least you'll look good doing it.

Why You Want It

Look, we know you’re tired of your current setup throwing a tantrum every time you breathe near the gimbals. The Nexus-X packs an STM32F722 MCU and the ICM42688P 6-axis MEMS motion tracker. That’s fancy talk for "it calculates your mistakes faster than you can make them." Plus, with 256MB of Black Box memory, you can record every single one of those mistakes in excruciating detail for your "tuning" sessions (which we both know are just you staring at logs pretending to understand PID loops).

Specs

  • MCU: STM32F722RET6 (Because an F4 is so 2018)
  • Gyro: ICM42688P (Ultra-stable, unlike your last relationship)
  • Flash Memory: 256MB W25N02KVZEIR (Massive logs for massive egos)
  • Barometer: SPL06-001 (Knows exactly how far you are from the ground before impact)
  • UARTs: 5 (S.BUS [UART1], TELEM [UART2], PORT-A [UART4], PORT-B [UART6], PORT-C [UART3])
  • Servos: Support for S1, S2, S3, and TAIL (Up to 12V)
  • Input Voltage: 5V - 16V DC (Powering the brain)
  • Ext. Voltage Telemetry: 3.6V - 70V (For the high-voltage daredevils)
  • Dimensions: 44.70 x 26.50 x 12.30mm (Compact enough to fit, big enough to impress)
  • Weight: 20.6g (Light enough to fly, heavy enough to feel premium)

In the Box

  • 1x NEXUS-X Control System (HP0157.0113-GRY)
  • 3x JST-GH 4 Wire pigtail cables
  • 1x JST-GH to Servo Plug (Dupont 3 pin connector)
  • 1x Ultra-lightweight and flexible USB-C extender (For those hard-to-reach places)
  • 1x JST-ZH1.5 "DSM" Telemetry cable (Telemetry ONLY—don't try to bind a DSM receiver to it)
  • 1x Voltage telemetry wire & 3M double-sided mounting tape

Compatibility

This beast plays nice with CRSF, ELRS (Plug’n’Play with RP3-H), GHOST, S.BUS, SUMD, IBUS, XBUS, EXBUS, PPM, and MSP. Basically, if your receiver has a pulse, the Nexus-X can probably talk to it. It’s the universal translator of the FPV world, minus the weird sci-fi accent.

Highlights

  • CNC Case: It’s a heat sink. It’s armor. It’s a fashion statement in anodized aluminum.
  • RF Rescue: Standard safety feature for when you realize you've flown past your skill limit.
  • More PWM Pins: Because more pins mean more servos, and more servos mean more things for you to accidentally break.

Notes

Optimized for RF 2.2 right out of the box. The included USB-C extension cable is provided because RadioMaster knows your build is likely a cable-management nightmare and they’re trying to help you maintain some dignity.

Good sunscreen great price
Seems to work well. Feels good on my face. Does leave a white cast but it's not as bad as other sun screens like the Neutrogena sport face. I wear it at work so I don't care. Edit- this sunscreen seems to break down some plastics. I've gone through two cheap sunglasses lol

Love this for my face!
Neutrogena SPF 100 sunblock lotion is the only sunscreen I trust and use on my face. It gives amazing protection without making my skin feel greasy or heavy. I’ve tried so many different sunscreens, and this one works the best for me. It absorbs nicely, doesn’t leave a bad white cast, and wears well under makeup too. A little goes a long way, and I love knowing my skin is protected, especially during summer or long days outside. Definitely a staple in my skincare routine!

Good sunscreen but be careful around your eyes
I’m trying to get better at using sunscreen more consistently, so I’ve been on the hunt for a while for the perfect formula (ideally SPF 100, not greasy, and would work well under makeup for when I’m both outdoors and wearing a full beat). I liked that this seemed to tick off all my boxes while also being affordable because if I’m going to use it frequently, I want to rest easy knowing that it won’t break the bank. I also vaguely remember using this sunscreen (or at least this brand) many years ago with no issues, so figured it’d be worth going back to. I normally use three thick finger lines of sunscreen for my face, neck, and ears, regardless of spf number, because if I’m going to go outside I’m not taking any risks. (Usually the rule of thumb is two fingers.) Also depending on what I’m doing and how long I plan on being outside, I try to also take the bottle with me so I can reapply. Anyway, I test it out, wear it, feels good. Takes a little while for it to feel relatively dry as advertised, but once it dries it’s tolerable. By the end of the day you might forget you still have it on your skin (aside from maybe the slight sunscreen smell, nothing terrible). Washed it off in the shower as usual. Most of my face still looks perfectly fine, but my undereyes are now red! (Or at least one of them, for some reason my right undereye is more sensitive than the left.) From what I’ve read online so far, it might be a sensitivity to avobenzone, one of the active ingredients. Very baffled with what to do because everyone says to use sunscreen around your eyes because of aging and sunburn, but does that mean I have to get used to my eyes turning red just to get that protection? I already wear pretty big sunglasses too, so it’s not like they’re completely exposed. Will have to experiment some more and/or look at alternatives.

Good, inexpensive sunscreen
I have always loved Neutrogena products especially their sunscreen. It used to be hard to get SPF over 30 and now they have it up to 100. I haven't burned using Neutrogena, haven't had any skin issues and it's pretty inexpensive. Would recommend.
