Aged for a full decade and bottled at a commanding 61.7% ABV, this non-chill filtered expression captures the untamed character that has defined Ardbeg’s cult following for over 25 years.
The nose surges with peat smoke, sea spray, tar, and coffee grounds, softened by flashes of vanilla and lime. The palate is mouth-filling and intense, opening with a surprising sweetness of smoked cinnamon and paprika before crashing into waves of soot, creosote, and glowing embers. Crafted from malted barley and pure Islay water, it finishes cool and mentholic with hints of eucalyptus. Best enjoyed neat or with a few drops of water to unlock its full smoky spectrum.
