The Homesteaders Gardening and Canning Book lets you customize your own garden to what you need. The pages in the first half are blank pages for you to write your own plant information in. The second half has blank recipe pages so you can write down your favorite canning recipes. You can customize this book with any plants and recipes you want. The plant pages have room for the plant name, when you planted it, how much water it needs, how much sun it needs, room for notes, and uses of the plant. If you purchased the plant, you can even put that information in at the bottom of the page and how much it cost. The recipe pages have the name at the top, how many it serves (or makes), room for ingredients and the method of how you make it. I combined these books together as I've found I had to switch back and forth between books all the time to find out what I liked to best in growing and then pull out another book for my canning recipes. This way they are all together in one easy format.
