Continental Grand Prix 5000 AS TR provides: Speed, Control, and durability for All Seasons... the Continental Grand Prix 5000 AS TR is the strongest GP5000 yet, creating performance and ride confidence in all weather conditions in conjunction with enhanced puncture protection.
Like all Grand Prix tires, it starts with Conti's unique tread compound, produced only in Germany. The legendary Black Chili compound yields the best balance of grip and rolling resistance. The latest polymers, as well as specially developed carbon black particles and filler materials guarantee unique performance.
Tread protection: the Continental Vectran breaker is lighter, more flexible and effective against cuts than a comparable nylon breaker without effecting rolling resistance. Vectran is spun from liquid crystal-polymer, creating a thermoplastic, multiple-thread, partially-crystalline yarn that is more cut-resistant than aramide and with tensile strength five times higher than that of steel.
Combining GP5000 speed and tubeless compatibility with a GP 4Season strength, the new Continental GP5000 AS TR is designed to give you more: more wet grip, more sidewall protection, more mileage, and more visibility. The micro profile structure of Conti Lazer Grip expands over the tire's shoulder and provides outstanding cornering in dry or wet conditions.
