Black Mountain - DestroyerNew Vinyl Record Black Mountain Destroyer Destroyer is structured around that first time behind the wheel of a hot rod. The fat, charging "Living After Midnight" riffs of opener "Future Shade" is, according to McBean, "Straight outta the gates. FM radio cranked." He ain't kidding. The song, and all of Destroyer for that matter, seems to exist at that crucial nexus of the early to mid 80s Los Angeles when a war between punk and hair metal was waged.

New Vinyl Record - Black Mountain - Destroyer

Destroyer is structured around that first time behind the wheel of a hot rod. The fat, charging "Living After Midnight" riffs of opener "Future Shade" is, according to McBean, "Straight outta the gates. FM radio cranked." He ain't kidding. The song, and all of Destroyer for that matter, seems to exist at that crucial nexus of the early-to-mid 80s Los Angeles when a war between punk and hair metal was waged. Black Flag's My War tried and failed to keep the peace. But in the trenches, some hybrid ghoul was beginning to form in bands like Jane's Addiction and White Zombie. The heavy extended player "Horns Arising," with it's Night Rider vocals and golden, climbing Blade Runner synths, is a fill-up at a desert gas station just in time to see a UFO hovering near a mesa. Other songs, like the serpentine "Boogie Lover," are a cruise down the Sunset Strip. You pull into The Rainbow Bar & Grill to take the edge off - doesn't matter what year it is, Lemmy's there in flesh or spirit. To continue the teenage theme, there's also a sense of youthful discovery to these cuts - "High Rise" is a foray into Japanese psych, rounding the bend to a careening, while "Closer to the Edge" feels like falling in love with Yes (Remember how good they were for a minute there in your youth?). "Licensed to Drive" would easily be the most exhilarating and dangerous ripper on a titular film's soundtrack, a dose of heavy right before the muscle car's wheels fly off going 100 mph on the freeway. Shacked up in his rehearsal space, McBean found an old chair in an alley, spray painted Producer on the back and pressed record. Friends from the endless rock'n'roll highway were invited over and 22 songs were brought to life. While some were laid back into shallow graves to dig up once again at a later date, the remaining skeletons were left above ground - given organs, skin, eyes, and the opportunity to grow their hair real long and greasy. Some of these zombie hesher jams were sent on a journey to Canada where longtime band member Jeremy Schmidt, slipping on the Official Collaborator satin jacket, had at them with his legendary synth arsenal. As he added long owing robes, sunglasses, driving gloves and medallions, the undead songs began to transform into the new breathing creatures that make up Destroyer. Schmidt's work with these songs turned out to be the transformative glue for this new era of Black Mountain.

soft breathable shirt
Color: Navycircles, Size: Large, Color: Navycircles, Size: Large
I measure a 33w and 42c. That would indicate that I should be closer to a size medium. But I have received enough summer short sleeve shirts that have a sizing chart that says that I should be a size medium only to find that they would only look good on me if I were built like Adonis. So I ordered a size large. It fits pretty well. I still think it is a little more snug than I would want but that is just my vanity wishing I had a flat gut. It is a bit difficult to read the washing instructions that are printed in silver on the inner collar. The label says it is 87% nylon and 13% spandex. The craftsmanship of the shirt is excellent. The collar has a nice cloth roll covering the seam so there is no chafing on the neck. The inner seams on the sides are double shitched with an interesting taper at the bottom that would only be noticeable if the shirt is not tucked in. The length of the shirt is sufficient that it will not try to pull out on the back and it is stretchy enough that I think if I tuck it in my underwear it will not pull out when riding my bike. I like the pattern. It is like the little dots on a bird feather repeated over and over.

I wonderfully versatile athletically fitting summer polo
Color: Lightbluedot, Size: Small
Don't really have any down sides on this polo. It's lightweight yet surprisingly wind resistant, even on cooler days im not losing all my body heat at the slightest breeze. It feels more like a cotton blend while performing like a polyester with the stretch and drying performance. The fit is very athletic, with just enough room in the chest and shoulders while hugging close to the midsection. This polo is quality both in looks, with the collar holding shape and appearance, the faux chest pocket ups the look of the shirt without being a clunky piece with a pocket that bunches up. Im thrilled with this polo and am buying more colors to have variety with this shirt. Wonderful wonderful value for the money if you're looking for a versatile close fitting shirt without hindering mobility

Great shirt with a couple of very insignificant flaws
Color: Bluedotwhite, Size: Small, Color: Bluedotwhite, Size: Small
Stylish, breathable, great fit, vibrant color, nice attention to detail with the colorway. Check out my photos for a look at the way the pocket colors and fabrics match that of the collar button, and the tiny perforations in the main fabric that allow you to stay cool in this shirt. There are a couple of spots where you can see flaws, but they're not significant enough to me to deduct a star. The flaws are the thread sticking out of the button, and how the collar has a bit of an indentation in it and isn't totally level smooth. It's hard to figure out how to iron the collar without creasing it in a bad location, so this is the way it looks after ironing with my best effort. All in all, as I've found with the Alex Vando brand, I enjoy their polo/golf shirts a lot - the fit, look, pretty much everything.

Comfortable summer wear. Runs a little big and long
Color: Blueoval, Size: Small, Color: Blueoval, Size: Small
This is a very comfortable polo. I can tell from the features that the shirt is pretty much designed for golf. - Very light weight like tees for runners. It is see through if not for the printed pattern. - Definitely breathable, perfect for dry weather region. Will keep you dry throughout the round and does not cling onto the body to inhibit motion. Structure stays crisp throughout the round. - Stretchable, does not restrict motion during golf, sweat or not. - Longer length to stay tuck in. Note: - It runs big overall. The model shown is 6’1” and he is wearing a Medium. Seeing that, I bought a Small even though I normally wear medium. It fits my upper body perfectly with a little room to spare. - It also runs a little long. It will definitely stay tucked in throughout the round. However, it is too long for me to wear it untucked. I am 5’ 8”. Overall I like the shirt’s quality and a reasonable price for a golf shirt. It would have been perfect had it not been a little long for untuck wear.

Stylish, Comfortable, and Very Versatile Shirt
Color: Navygeometry, Size: Medium, Color: Navygeometry, Size: Medium
This is a very nice‑looking shirt and it fits perfectly for my size. The design really stands out, and the blue color with the white accents looks sharp and clean without being too bold. The collar and buttons are good quality and add a nice, finished touch to the shirt. It feels well made and holds its shape nicely when worn. Comfort is another big plus—it’s comfortable enough to wear without an undershirt, which is great for warmer days. What I really like is how versatile it is. You can easily dress it up for business casual with a sport coat, wear it with khakis or jeans, as well as for golfing. It works well in a lot of different settings without looking out of place. It comes in at a good price point for the quality, and it would make a nice gift as well. Overall, a great‑looking, comfortable shirt that offers excellent value and flexibility.
