"This album represents a particularly whacked-out session for the peripatetic Austinite Ralph White, who is renowned for many things. Not the least of which is the fact that he's one of the few men who Michael Hurley will join on tour. It's no small thing? Most of White's fantastic solo output makes use of his multi-instrumentalism, often with a focus on his violin or banjo playing. Here, however, Mr. White focuses exclusively on button accordion and a variety of songs that can be done in waltz-time, regardless of whether they were first planned as waltzes or not. He says that the concept first came to him when he was recording a waltz version of "Sweet Jane" for a Lou Reed tribute album. The impulse to continue creating in this vein seized him and he seized it back. The results are shockingly great. One is used to hearing such stuff done with thick English accents, bad teeth and a scholastic attitude. White's approach is rural, American and a bit strange. The overall feel is actually more like Hurley than anything else Ralph has done, even though the sonic similarities are vague at best. A very cool record by any standard. Dog Toys Ball, Motion
It keeps my dog entertained for quite a while, which has been a huge help when he has too much energy. The ball moves on its own and activates with motion, so it quickly grabs his attention. I liked that it features different functions and unexpected movements that make playtime more fun. The quality feels good for the price, and the battery lasts long enough for several play sessions. Cute toy for the pets
A cute interactive pet toy. You turn it on by screwing off the top, and it has 3 different modes and flashing lights. The ropes are separate and you tie them on the top. It rolls and moves around on the floor at different speeds depending on which mode and flashes different colored lights. It seems durable. My cat likes it more than the dog, but my dog is an older girl who doesn't play much. Most dogs would probably like it. It's rechargeable, so no batteries, and you can apparently use a bluetooth connection to download more sounds, etc. It's basically just chirps now and then.
Overall a great toy for bored pets. Not a superlight toy- has a little weight to it so it rolls around, and the ropes flop around.
