Limited 180gm vinyl LP pressing. In March of 1999, Superchunk traveled to Electrical Audio Studios in Chicago to record the tracks that would become Come Pick Me Up. The addition of producer Jim O'Rourke allowed Superchunk to advance their sound with more experimentation, including horn and string accompaniments. Ken Vandermark, Jeb Bishop, and Bob Weston provided the horn section (saxophone, trombone, and trumpet, respectively) while Fred Longberg-Holm and Suzanne Roberts contributed on cello and violin. "It was exciting to work in the big room downstairs at Electrical. For part of our visit we also slept there, in the dark except for lights on all the gear blinking. It snowed a ton the day we got there, and I didn't go outside for the first five or six days we were there," Mac recalls. "I read an interview where O'Rourke said we tried to make a two-month record in two weeks or something. I'm sure he's right-we never wanted to spend the time or money making records the 'proper' way, but I like how this record came out, and it has some of my favorite songs of ours on it."

Fun stories for my little Spanish learners!

Great set of 3 books for my entry-level Spanish learning kids who are 5 & 7.
The book of opposites is their favorite with a cute storyline. Everyone loves twins and piñatas!
They also love to repeat the instrument names in Spanish. la guitarra 🎸 el microfono 🎤

Bilingual Books that cultivate cultural connections

We absolutely LOVE the Si Sabo Kids collection. My son is obsessed with Street Vendors and I fear that without this exposure through books, he wouldn’t be exposed or know of the thrill of chasing down a paletero or buying flores fr your local flower cart.
With this new collection of La Plaza we were just as excited to flip through the pages!
What I love most is how the author’s honor Spanish and English in their text, but the exposure is to Spanish print first! This is very unique and purposeful for our younger generations.
You will not be disappointed. My little guy has me read these daily!

Amazing Bilingual Books for Kiddos!
Format: Board book
We are obsessed with the Si Sabo Kids books! We got the first set of Street Vendors and now this is such a great addition. Our daughter loves these and reads them over and over. My husband is a spanish speaker but I am not, so this has been a great way to pass down spanish to our daughter regardless of whether you speak spanish or not. Plus, the case the books come in are so cute and stylish sitting on our bookshelf. Really makes a great present because it's a great set!

Love this set of books!

As a dual language educator and mother of a bilingual child, I absolutely love these books! The set is bright, colorful and culturally rich; the three books are inspired by Latin American marketplace scenes, which makes learning feel playful and meaningful! Such a wonderful addition to any household or classroom bookshelf!
