The R17 is made from the Golden Synthetic range. They are 100% synthetic and vegan-friendly. Commonly called 'Nylon', there are many types both in colour of strand and diameter. Nylon has some unique characteristics in that its retention, snap and spring are all superb. 

This travel brush is a size 4 from the Series 316. Pointed Cat's Tongue Golden Synthetic. The 316's are Pointed Cat's tongues which have a good body to the brush and a silhouette of extruded nylon reaching out longer than a typical cats tongue to allow flow and precision. They are wonderful for petal shapes when pressure is applied making these a lovely botanical brush. If you want a filbert with a sharp point, look no further!
