This kit is used to drill, and repin the balancer with out having to pull the crank shaft out of the engine, to have a key machined in. This pin kit can be used with the engine still in the truck, only needing to remove the radiator, and intercooler. Remove the broken pin, and install the balancer in its original postion. 180 Degrees

Duramax Harmonic balancers are known for shearing the alignment pin at high RPM. This kit is used to drill, and repin the balancer with out having to pull the crank shaft out of the engine, to have a key machined in. This pin kit can be used with the engine still in the truck, only needing to remove the radiator, and intercooler. Remove the broken pin, and install the balancer in its original postion. 180 Degrees from the factory pin location. Use the drill jig to drill 3/4" - 1" deep. Install the hardened roll pin, and tighten the OEM crankshaft bolt with washer to factory torque.
As of 10/1/2024 All CR2 Crankshaft pin kits WILL work with Fluidamper harmonic dampers.
