Klim - TK1200 Karbon Modular Helmet ECE/DOT

KLIM has created the world’s first Grand Touring helmet. Revolutionizing modular helmet design and setting a new precedent for the lightest, highest-performing modular helmet for the world’s longest rides. The TK1200 provides massive comfort, adapting to changing riding conditions with ease while setting the standard in lightweight performance.

Full Specs:

ULTRA VISION - MASTER THE RIDING ENVIRONMENT

KLIM introduces the first optically superior shield system capable of the highest performance in all light conditions. Featuring proprietary adaptive lens technology from TRANSITIONS®, KLIM’s TK1200 reacts instantly to changing UV levels. Riders enjoy reduced eye fatigue, increased light and damaging ray protection and superior clarity thanks to minimal lens distortion. By eliminating archaic internal visors, KLIM can deliver a superior riding experience with full field-of-vision and adaptive lens technology.

BREAK AWAY

KLIM developed a proprietary break-away chin bar into the TK1200 that reduces force upon the head and neck in the event of an accident with the modular system in the open position.

TUNE OUT - ENGINEERED AERO ACOUSTICS

Focus on the road ahead and fully engage with the ride thanks to KLIM’s perfected Aero Acoustic performance. Combining sleek and stable aerodynamics, intelligent ventilation design and a premium liner system, KLIM makes it easy to keep riding mile after mile.

CORE STRENGTH - SUPERIOR FROM THE START

The KLIM TK1200 features a full carbon-fiber shell construction done differently. Pre-impregneted fibre weaves combine with our proprietary Polymerisation heat and molding process to ensure precise temperature and duration of resin cure times. This hyper attention-to-detail ensures a higher quality construction and unmatched hand-made consistency only found in KLIM’s premium helmets.

SUPPORT SYSTEM - FIT RIGHT, FEEL RIGHT

Featuring an intermediate oval fit, KLIM’s sizing system allows riders to lock into a helmet that is snug and tight, but without pressure points. This attention to detail ensures comfort extends beyond the showroom feel and for years to come. Combined with KLIM’s ergonomic 3D Padding and washable, removable hypoallergenic liner.

QUICK RELEASE

KLIM’s micro-metric buckle securement allows for quick fitment and even faster release--getting your custom fit experience on and off with ease. Set it and forget it and experience the best fit on the street.

BIO-VISIBILITY - IT’S GOOD TO BE SEEN

KLIM’s leading passive safety design experience and proficiency in hi-visibility and retroreflective materials is infused in theTK1200’s DNA. Rear-facing reflective accent materials on the helmet liner increase low-light visibility of the rider’s head. The real result: riders are seen sooner and more often by traffic’s headlights.

INTELLIGENT VENTILATION

Engineered to provide more effective ventilation than the old guard of helmet brands, KLIM built a fresh-air system worthy of the next generation. The adjustable intake port directs airflow to the crown of the head, filling the volume more efficiently and cooling more rapidly.

EXCEEDING EXPECTATIONS

Thanks to innovative construction techniques and premium materials, The KLIM TK1200 meets or exceeds the most demanding ECE and DOT standards for street helmets at reduced weight compared to the competition.

SHIELDS UP

Premium Polycarbonate Anti-Scratch shield tech takes the lead with Pinlock ready systems standard to ensure a clear road ahead. Clear and Smoke options available to custom tune the ride to conditions.

Seeing the Creative Process for Graphic Novels
Format: Paperback
This is a fascinating look at the early creative processes writers do when they make scripts for graphic novels. The only down side to this book is it doesn't show any comparison between the scripts and the final product. I suppose that's part of the fun of this book is that you have to imagine the graphics just like the original artists did.

Great Comic
Format: Kindle
Wolverine is one of my favorite Marvel characters. He encapsulates the paradox for young adolescent boys. He’s everything we wish to be, and at the same time, everything we would be terrified to be.

A huge book that gives you the hero's beginnings.
Format: Hardcover
I own several Marvel Omnibus collections (Captain America, Miller's Daredevil run, etc) but I have to say I think this one is the biggest in terms of thickness. This has a serious page count, and is definitely worth the money you spend on it for size alone. Those coming off the Wolverine movie and interested in more of his back-story will enjoy most of this. The stories here are not put together in chronological order of publication, but rather in chronological order of when it supposedly happened in his life. That being said, it's odd that Marvel chose to leave out "Origin", since that six-part story would have made an obvious choice for the beginning of this collection. Instead, we start out with a number of "Weapon X" stories that are supposed to set the stage for his creation into a weapon. The stories are not easy to follow for a casual read, however. You'll have to invest time reading dozens of dialogue balloons over the constantly-resting pose of Logan with wires coming out of him. Not the best start they could have hoped for, but I can see the logic of it. The Wolverine/Kitty Pryde miniseries is also here for some reason. I guess its inclusion into the collection is for completist purposes, but it's not that great. Eventually, you reach the Frank Miller Wolverine mini-series that started it all and paved the way for his solo series later on. If you've read that one, you know it's a classic as we get more back story into his Samurai/Ninja training past (and it's also rumored to be the basis for the second Wolverine solo film if it gets made). This leads into the first 10 issues of his solo series as we meet Logan's "Patch" identity, his weird black "facepaint mask" costume, and the dark dealings of Madripor. The colors here are rich and vibrant. Those who were disappointed with the washed-out look of the "Essentials" collection of Wolverine stuff will find nothing but happiness here. The price is reasonable for what you're getting here. Let me say again though that this is a MONSTER of a book, so you won't be carrying this around for a casual read at the coffee shop. This is more along the lines of a serious collector book than those Essential volumes.
