This Sweet Old World is the fourth studio album by American singer-songwriter Lucinda Williams. It was released on August 25, 1992. On April 28, 2017, Williams performed the album in it's entirety at Minneapolis' First Avenue nightclub; the live recording will be released to commemorate Sweet Old World's 25th year anniversary in August.

Vinyl LP pressing. In a rare instance of an artist taking a full-length reconsideration of an earlier work, Grammy-winning singer/songwriter Lucinda Williams releases This Sweet Old World - a complete re-recording of her 1992 album Sweet Old World. Produced by Williams and Tom Overby, This Sweet Old World - recorded to mark the 25th anniversary of the original album's release by Chameleon/Elektra - features all-new renditions of the '92 set's 12 songs, some of which have been dramatically rearranged and rewritten. On This Sweet Old World, Williams is supported by her touring and studio band: guitarist Stuart Mathis, bassist David Sutton, and drummer Butch Norton. Longtime collaborator Greg Leisz - who participated in early sessions for the 1992 album, and co-produced Williams' most recent studio releases, The Ghosts of Highway 20 (2016) and Down Where the Spirit Meets the Bone (2014) - contributes spectacular guitar work. The package is augmented by four newly recorded bonus tracks that harken back to Williams' early performing career.

Great weird horror
Format: Kindle
The Department of Truth: The End of the World is the first trade volume of this series, collecting issues 1-5. I don’t want to get into spoilers, but I enjoyed seeing a world building element I was familiar with in fantasy be applied to conspiracy theories. I also loved the art. It’s really stunning! I almost want to buy a print edition in addition to my Kindle/ComiXology edition because it’s so beautiful. I found the plot and concept compelling and can’t wait to read volume 2.

meh...
Format: Paperback
collecting the entire universe, so obviously i picked this up. i absolutely LOVE the stuff written by Ryan Parrott, but it seems like the some of the side stories were just thrown into the universe for the sake of 'diversity'. identity politics is injected into BOTH of the books in this series (that i have read so far... im somewhere in the middle of year two) that were written by Melissa Flores, for no reason except projection, propaganda and forced diversity quotas. the book isnt even an extreme offender or anything, but the 'community' has caused so many problems, in ever facet of society that they have attached themselves to, that i (and so many others) now see any of it as huge red flag... and that is sad, because i was raised to have the EXACT opposite viewpoint, and i did, for well over 30 years (just turned 40).
