What pipe sizes is this drain bladder designed for?
This bladder is designed to work with pipes ranging from 4 to 6 inches in diameter. Using it in pipes outside this range may result in an improper seal or ineffective cleaning.
How does it work?
It uses water pressure from a standard garden hose. When inserted into a pipe and the water is turned on, the rubber bladder expands to create a seal. Water pressure then builds up behind the clog, forcing it out.
Can I use hot water or chemicals with the bladder?
No. It is strongly recommended to use cold water only. Hot water can damage the rubber housing. This tool is designed to be a chemical-free solution, and chemicals should not be used with it.
The bladder isn't clearing the clog. What should I do?
Ensure the bladder is inserted far enough into the pipe to create a good seal past any junctions. Verify your water pressure is sufficient. If the blockage is severe or caused by root intrusion or a collapsed pipe, a mechanical auger or professional plumbing service may be required.
