This Country and Twee Green Tweed water resestant Dachshund dog coat is stylish, machine washable, and includes a water-resistant layer between the Tweed and the Sherpa, just perfect for frosty winter walks! Our Dachshund coats are a perfect fit on miniature dachshunds, taking their short legs and long bodies into consideration.

If you don’t want to have to choose between style and practicality for your dogs winter coat then this is for you. Handmade in the UK; not only will your dog look good but they will feel good in these thick, Sherpa fleece lined jackets that are all machine washable.

Dachshund dog coats come in either 12", 14" or 16" with short belly straps. Please measure your Dachshund from the collar, along the back to the base of the tail whilst standing.

Do I love it? Yes. Is it well made? It certainly appears to be. Is the leather thick? Yes, I’d say definitely thick and sturdy. Do I like the color (Bootlegger Brown)? Of course I do, it’s gorgeous. It seems very well made. The corners are secured with black fasteners, which I think are going to better than the buttons in the long run that I’ve seen on others. It’s was this brand, or Hide and Drink for me. I went with these guys because it’s U.S. made, and hopefully American sourced leather. I bought the Large. My concern was that the XL might be too large for my nightstand. I measured it out and everything. However, I was not counting on the length and width to be measured from the end of the pinched corners, so I was a little disappointed about the size of the useable surface area. It’s not a big deal, but I wish that I’d have just spent the extra $5 and got the XL. If I we’re to get another, I definitely go with the XL unless you just want something on the smallish side, but still I suspect that they are larger that what most others are offering. At least these guys give you a choice of options.
