Description
Oruã, a child of downtown Rio de Janeiro, was born at night and attends parties at dawn. A poor man's jazz. Working-class' krautrock. Oruã are exporting the best that Brazil has to offer: art!
Oruã is lead by critically-acclaimed guitarist and producer Lê Almeida and is joined by long-time collaborators João Casaes (synths), Bigu Medine (bass) and Ana Zumpano (drums). Together, they blend lo-fi indie rock, psychedelica, noise, afrobeat, and Brazilian references that range from Luiz Gonzaga's primal Pernambuco sound to classic Brazilian psych rock. In 2019 their sound was discovered by indie rock legend Doug Martsch of Built to Spill, which led to him inviting Lê and João to become temporary members of the 90's indie rock band. Later they recorded, co-produced, and co-mixed Built to Spill's most recent album, When the Wind Forgets Your Name, released in 2022 on Sub Pop Records. After touring extensively with Built to Spill and showcasing their high-energy shows in the US and Europe, Oruã returned to Seattle and recorded their new album Slacker [KLP307] with Jim Roth, who also plays guitar, synth and percussion on the recordings. Their sound continues to mix the electric pulses of deconstructed guitars over a mesmerizing groove, taking both audience and band into a collective trance.

This Energy Medicine Book has changed my life in so many ways. Full descriptions, illustrations, of all you will need to balance energies, promote better health, and understand the correlation of how the energy systems work within our body. Best book ever!! Great book! Little known knowledge shared by a true master!

The book arrived on time and in great shape. I had just attended an in person conference by the writer of this book, Donna Eden, and left the conference feeling so much more empowered that I had to know more. Through personal health challenges that left her in constant pain and bedridden in her twenties, and doctors unsure how to help her, Donna Eden who is now in her seventies or eighties, became her own guru!! Utilizing different natural ways of healing and learning all about energy medicine she developed her own personal brand of energy medicine. She is healthy and thriving over 5 decades later. Loaded with information that will change your life and your health in this book she shares with you the knowledge and the energy medicine exercises so you can help yourself. I now own all her books!

Good Book, Very Practical
Format: Paperback
This is a very interesting read and has some great exercises in it. I really enjoyed the book. Then I went on-line and watched a couple videos of Donna Eden speaking, and I have to say she seems like a New Age looney tune, all wide eyes, soft voice and gigantic fake smiles. Itʻs a shame, really, because energy medicine is an important field and having spaced out people representing it gives it a bad name and makes it seem less valid. However, like I said, it is a good book and worth reading. Few books about the energy body actually give exercises on how to work with it yourself, so this gets over the hurdle of other books like Barbara Brennanʻs Hands of Light where if you want to learn the techniques you have to pay a lot of money and go in person to a seminar.
