  • VAS-A shield system lowered to further improve 'glancing off' ability
  • The forehead area of the shell is reinforced by a super fiber belt which is similar to the way in which bands strengthen a barrel
  • PB-cLc² shell is assembled using an assortment of materials
  • Peak
  • Designed for more effective ventilation, increased high speed flow-through performance, greater range of adjustability for blocking the sun, and is more resistant to buffeting, all of which leads to an overall more comfortable riding experience
  • VAS-A Shield System
  • Allows for easier and faster shield swaps
  • The peak utilizes only one screw on each side for removal/installation
  • The shield can be attached or removed without the need for any tools
  • Mouth Shutter
  • Allows for more fresh air without the need for the mesh vents as seen on predecessors
  • Inner Shutter
  • Working in conjunction with the mouth shutter, the inner shutter allows you to adjust the mount of airflow entering the helmet
  • If the outer shutter is open and the inner closed, the air will be directed towards the shield and help to reduce fogging
  • If the inner and outer shutters are both open, the air will be directed towards your mouth
  • Front Logo Duct
  • Allows for holes in the forehead area for this vent without compromising the helmet's ability to protect
  • Allows for airflow that is unaffected by the rider's position
  • VAS-A Max-Vision Shield
  • The optional Pinlock® insert for this model has advanced to be effective at resisting fogging, even in extreme conditions, across the entire field of view
  • Preserves the wide field-fo-view and high level of visibility expected of an XD model
  • AR Spoiler
  • Set in a position that makes it ideal for adventure riding, the AR spoiler contributes to reducing fatigue from turbulent air throughout long rides, and works to draw out hot air from the crown area
  • Odor-Resistant Interior
  • Has the same level of acidity as bare skin and has odor-resistant and stain-resistant properties
  • The head-liner is equipped with a removable foam layer on both the left and right sides, allowing you to remove 5 mm of foam from each side if desired for micro-fitting
  • Air Flap
  • The retractable pull-down spoiler reduces wind intrusion into the bottom of the helmet and helps to pull out hot and humid exhaled air around the sculpted leading edges of the cheek pads
  • This coordinated ventilation combined with fresh intake from the chin vent, also helps to reduce shield fogging
  • Device Compatibility
  • This increases bonding surface between the device and the helmet, and helps to reduce buffeting or possible slip-offs
  • The Hyper-Ridge® has been re-sculpted to provide a flat surface on the sides to allow for the easy installation of a wide range of communication devices
  • Speaker Pocket
  • Speakers can be installed directly to the provided hook and loop panel without the need to remove the cheek pad covers
  • Both ear pockets are deep and wide, designed to accommodate even the thickest speakers with plenty of room to position them to increase comfort
  • Provides a smart way to tackle cable management inside your helmet
  • A pocket to tuck away excess wiring and connectors as well as holes to easily run wires from side to side, have been incorporated into the neck roll to prevent wires coming loose while putting on or taking off the helmet

Making Friends
Format: Kindle
This whole series is absolutely fantastic. I love the idea of a magical sketchbook that Dany can draw anything in. My favorite part (and my sister’s), is when Prince Neptune acts like he’s about to leave, and he kisses Dany. Then, he tries to yank the sketchbook out of her hands and he yells “So I will reshape this world to fit my needs!” with the most evil look on his face. It’s super funny. All of the backstories were well-developed, and the Madison and Amanda storyline really impressed me! I think anyone with a good sense of humor would love this book.

Cute story about friendship with a fantastical twist.
Format: Kindle, Format: Kindle
Amazon has been recommending me this book for quite some time now, and since I read a lot of reviews saying that the premise was very interesting/ unusual, I decided to give it a shot. I bought the Kindle version. #1 The artwork: I'm a huge fan of graphic novels, so the art on the cover caught my eye immediately. I liked the overall style, and color palette. However I feel like the interior art falls flat sometimes. No doubt that the artist knows her stuff, but I felt like sometimes she might not have had such a strong handle on the characters. The line thickness tended to vary from panel to panel on some pages, and some characters didn't always look like they belonged in the same universe. #2: The story (spoilers): The concept for this was very interesting, and I enjoyed it for the most part, but there were some things about the story I thought were unnecessary. I don't think Prince Neptune needed to be a character at all. To me, his only real purpose was to make Danny into a less likable version of herself, and to end the book when he destroyed the school. The ending I also thought was a little weird. I had read reviews about it beforehand, but It still caught me completely off guard. I know the story is fantasy, obviously, but I think it could've been toned down just a smidge. I think if the plot focused more on the relationship between Danny, Madison, and even Danny's other friends, I would've given it five stars. I found myself asking a lot of questions about them in terms of who they were to Danny, and why it seemed like they all stopped hanging out for seemingly no reason. A point was made that Danny had a different schedule than them, but I didn't even see her make an effort to preserve her relationships despite this. One things I really want to praise the book on however, is the humor. There was a lot of subtle jokes for older readers that I chuckled at, that would probably fly over a kid's head. For those who are wondering, there's no swearing/ inappropriate words, but some bullying/ teasing/ crying is depicted. There is also fantasy "violence", but it's nothing worse than what you'd see in a Saturday morning cartoon on Disney channel. #3 Final Thoughts: Overall, I would recommend this book if you have young kids interested in this kind of thing. I'm not the target demographic for this, so I'm a bit more critical, however if someone had put this in the hands of 9 year old me, I would've absolutely loved it to bits.

Recommended by 11 year old boy
Format: Hardcover
My son selected this book to read with his school instructional support as a means to mimic a high cap program. My son likes to read books on this topic, which I find a little depressing and a little dark...but listening to the thought provoking conversations that tutor and student had over ZOOM....this is highly recommended. I did not read the book, but both tutor and student enjoyed reading it. They were a little sad to move to another book. The conversations that I overhead did a wonderful job of providing historical references (which I find lacking in his schooling so far), portraying how the characters FELT, what motivated them, and in general connecting my son to a world far bigger than greater than within our Covid quarantined city. Not sure how much of this wonderful learning experience was based on the talent and experience of the tutor, but ALLIES provided content that was educational, emotional and allowed the tutor to delve deeper, connect ideas, draw inferences and start predicting outcomes. She was trying to teach him to immerse himself in the reading....not just reading for a reading log. This was a very successful 'book club' for my son.
