Reproduction of By the Sea IV no Border Crop by Alan Majchrowicz
Alan Majchrowicz — "By the Sea IV no Border Crop" is a compelling example of contemporary landscape photography that transcends mere documentation to become a meditative exploration of space and solitude. The work aligns with the long tradition of landscape art that seeks to evoke emotional and philosophical responses, yet it departs from historical romanticism by embracing a stark, modernist aesthetic. The composition is defined by a masterful use of negative space, with the Adirondack chair positioned in the lower-left quadrant, creating an asymmetrical balance that guides the viewer's eye across the expansive coastal vista. This deliberate placement, combined with the horizon line that bisects the frame, establishes a powerful sense of depth and scale, emphasizing the vastness of the natural world in contrast to the solitary human element. The monochromatic palette, while seemingly limited, is rich in tonal variation, with a sophisticated gradation from deep shadows to luminous highlights that captures the subtle textures of the grass, the wooden chair, and the water. This approach to color is not a limitation but a deliberate choice that heightens the image's contemplative mood, focusing the viewer's attention on form, light, and the interplay of textures. The work can be situated within the broader context of modernist photography, where artists like Edward Weston and Ansel Adams pioneered the use of black and white to explore the intrinsic qualities of light and form. Majchrowicz’s photograph, however, reflects a contemporary sensibility, one that values the quiet, introspective beauty of the everyday. The interpretive significance of the piece lies in its ability to transform a simple, common object into a powerful symbol of human presence and the desire for connection with the natural world. It is a work that invites the viewer to pause, to reflect, and to find a moment of peace in a world that is often defined by its noise and haste. For more art by Alan Majchrowicz click here.

Great Multi-Function Watch
Color: Gray/Digital/Gray
I absolutely love my Timex Ironman watches. I have had many over a very long period of time.
Wonderful set of functions for the price.
Very affordable.
Easy to use. Lasts a long time. Very easy to read in standard lighting. I like the Indiglo when needed, but do not use it too often.
Absolutely love the ability to set a repeat timer to remind me to do something at a fixed interval, or to keep me on task for a fixed period of time.
Great to be able to set three independent alarms.
Potential to capture a huge number of splits with the stopwatch.
I purchased this watch to replace a similar model with a dead battery. I have replaced batteries in the past, but it is quicker and easier to buy a replacement watch. I am saving my old watches for that day in the future when the Ironman model may no longer be available. I expect this will be my watch of choice for the rest of my life.

Just fine if you have simple needs...
Color: Black/Digital/Black/Green
Exactly what I needed: a cheap, durable wrist watch. The only thing it was lacking were instructions, but about 5 minutes of messing with the buttons got it set up
