Original WWII German NSRKB 25 YEAR MEMBER’S PIN. (Mitgliednadel) The DRKB, “Deutscher Reichskriegerbund” (German National-veterans’-league), was formed during WWI, and was based on the DKB, “Deutscher Kriegerbund,” originally formed after the Franco-Prussian war in the 1870s. By 1936 it had incorporated most of the varied veterans’ associations into it, and was itself re-named the NS-RKB, “Nationalsozialistische-Reichskriegerbund,” in 1938. A gilt washed and enameled, 28mm x 21mm, lapel pin comprised of a siver washed oak-leaf wreath encompassing a translucent red enamel shield, bordered in silver, with a silver bordered black enamel Iron Cross with a mobile swastika to its center. The pin is numbered “25” in silver on black enamel, bordered in silver with a circular base. The reverse is marked with “Ges. Gesch” and “4”. Very attractive looking piece!
