Alcatraz: The Scapegoat ist ein semi-kooperatives Brettspiel, das Spieler in die Rolle von Häftlingen versetzt, die einen Ausbruch aus dem berüchtigten Gefängnis Alcatraz planen. Ziel ist es, gemeinsam Schlüssel zu sammeln und einzusetzen, um das Tor zum Ausgang zu öffnen, wobei die Zusammenarbeit durch spezielle Mechaniken wie den wechselnden Sündenbock behindert wird. Dieser Sündenbock wird in jeder Runde neu bestimmt und erhält Vorteile, darf aber keine Schlüssel erhalten, was für zusätzlichen Verrat und Spannung sorgt.

Das Spiel wird in Runden mit drei Phasen gespielt: Zu Beginn erscheint eine neue Wache, die den Zugang zu bestimmten Räumen blockieren kann. Danach wird der Sündenbock gewählt, der spezielle Aktionen durchführen kann. Anschließend führen alle Spieler ihre Aktionen aus, um Gegenstände zu sammeln, Einfluss zu gewinnen oder sich gegenseitig zu behindern. Die Spielmechanik kombiniert dabei Kommunikation, Verhandlung, Bluff und taktische Entscheidungen.

Mit seiner Mischung aus kooperativem Spiel, Verrat und strategischem Denken bietet Alcatraz: The Scapegoat ein intensives Erlebnis für Gesellschaftsspiel-Abende. The cloth material is sturdy and fits well on the design. Both sides are black and you can't tell a difference between each side. It's extremely light weight and easily movable. We got a double and a single and the single is used as a sliding door. It's definitely not the MOST stable thing but overall it's pretty stable, probably won't work GREAT on carpet. It's not see through at all, which is great, the only downfall is the gap between the two sides. We are using a blanket to cover the gap. It's not 6 foot tall, but you can adjust the feet on it to be taller. Overall it's a great product for the price and can easily be moved out of they way.
