Raus in die Natur

Rund um Haus Coerde, wo die Kochschule 'E.ssenz' von Eckels_Kladde beheimatet ist, strotzt die Natur vor Kraft. Entlang der urigen Felder der Gärtnerei Ra.Baba, entlang Münsters Flusses 'Aa' und auf dem Hof Haus Coerde selbst werden wir leckere und gesunde Kräuter erkennen lernen, sammeln und schmecken. 

Der Einführungskurs 'Wilde Kräuter' wird begleitet von Elias Eckel, Inhaber des Unternehmens Eckels_Kladde, studierter Biologie und begeisterter Naturgänger. Mit Begeisterung und jahrzehntealtem Fachwissen rund um die Schätze der Natur wird in diesem Kurs behandelt worauf es beim Sammeln zu achten gilt, welche Pflanzen unbedingt zu vermeiden sind und was Ihnen den Sammelspaß erst so richtig schmackhaft macht! 

Was erwartet Sie?

Bringen Sie gute Laune, Begeisterungsfähigkeit und gutes Schuhwerk mit. Keine Sorge, wir machen keine langen Wege, aber etwas ab von der Straße wollen wir doch gehen!

Der Kurs findet, mit Rücksicht auf die arbeitende Bevölkerung am frühen Abend von 1700 bis ca. 2000 Uhr statt, dass wir uns noch im vollen Licht der Abendsonne gut orientieren können. 

Wir treffen uns an der E.ssenz. Dort können Sie ihre Fahrräder oder auch ein Auto parken, schweres Gepäck zwischenlagern und zur Toilette gehen. Die Naturflächen, die wir besuchen werden, liegen alle im Umkreis von 500m, denn auch auf den kurzen Wegen werden Sie feststellen wie viel schon zu entdecken sein wird! 

Wir gehen durch Wiese, entlang einer Uferböschung und entlang ökologisch bearbeiteter, landwirtschaftlicher Flächen, so sehen sie die Unterschiede zwischen verschiedenen Ökosystemen und lernen auch viel über den Zusammenhang zwischen Landwirtschaft und Natur.

I took Jeffrey Sachs's Globalization class on EDX Academy and somehow stumbled upon this book in between class and finding books around the subject. I watched his youtube video that generalizes the book and was blown away by how my current class I was taking aligned with it. This book is an easy read, and especially for those who aren't well-versed about world history and world economics. I will admit that I do love history, and am learning economics, so this book was a beautiful way merge all these timelines together. The book breaks down and summarizes key points in world history and economics to make points to get the message across each chapter. Font size is great! Might even be considered larger compared to other books. The only thing I wish this book provided was thicker paper in the physical book itself, especially for the hardcover version. If Ray Dahlio ever comes out with a special edition of this with a higher quality paper, I would gladly purchase it for my collection.
