Nase
Das 2021er Große Gewächs Kirchenstück in Hohen-Sülzen präsentiert sich ruhig und entspannt mit einer tief wirkenden Steinigkeit und einer dezenten weißfleischigen Frucht von Äpfeln und etwas weißem Pfirsich. Darüber liegt ein Duft von Blüten, Minze und etwas Bresaola. Wie bei den anderen Weinen von H.O. Spanier hat auch dieser Wein keine expressive Nase. Es ist vielmehr ein Textur- und Struktur-Wein.


Mund
Am Gaumen wirkt der Riesling gleichzeitig fest in der leichten Gerbstoff-Struktur und fließend in der klaren Säure. Die Frucht wirkt noch knackig mit etwas Mirabelle, Reineclaude, einigen dunklen Beeren und reifer Zitrone. Das Kirchenstück zieht sich enorm in die Länge und bleibt dabei trotz der Spannung in der Säure, auf der entspannt charmanten Seite. Das Salz im Finale wirkt dabei genauso mundwässernd wie die Mineralität. Das Große Gewächs wirkt tief und komplex, energiegeladen, ja fast tonisch.
